I guess I could say there's a reason for me to start blogging again, but the reason is quite literally this: keeping shit from my boyfriend. A couple of days ago he asked me if I had a blog, and I said no. Lies; I did, two or so years ago, when I was young and naive and thought the world was full of star-dust and that blurry Polaroids annotated with excerpts of my favourite novels constituted some kind of contribution to society. I gave up because the blurry Polaroids started to make even myself feel ill. But it got me thinking about all the time-wasting I used to do back when I was a regular contributor to internet landfill, and about my general demeanor compared to now.
And I came up with an equation (I'm not a math major, don't shoot me):
Annoyance + Blogging = Slightly Less Annoyance
.... And I am very annoyed right now.
And so, I'm back again, ready to explore the slight annoyance depleting effects that blogging may provide. I would ask you to be nice, but I'm sure that given you're all part of the blogging community, your annoyance has been sufficiently drained to make you pretty much angels anyway.
